Anywhere Wx with XM WX for Windows 2000/XP is an integrated moving map navigation and color aviation weather information system using the XM-Radio satellite network for access. It runs on your laptop or tablet – everything else you need comes in this package. The continuous stream of aviation weather makes flight planning and enroute flight management safe and effective. Anywhere Wx is based upon award-winning Anywhere Map, a full-featured moving map with the capability to plan, execute, and modify flight plans with ease. And the precision GPS updates your position constantly, taking the guesswork out of situational awareness.
Cockpit convenience
Anywhere Wx with XM-Satellite Weather is a clean, simplified installation. The WX Worx satellite receiver can be placed anywhere in the cockpit, even under a seat, and plugs into a USB port on your tablet / laptop. A compact antenna maintains contact with the XM satellites. The GPS also plugs into one of the USB ports on your tablet/laptop.

Anywhere Wx is the ONLY platform that allows you to get weather virtually anywhere: The airplane, standing outside, the hotel room, the car, and even while sipping your white chocolate mocha latte from Starbucks. That’s because our software can use numerous connection paths to weather data in addition to the XM receiver or Globalstar sat phone that’s in the airplane. If your PDA or tablet is connected to the Internet, you can get weather over that connection. If it has wireless Internet (wifi) you can connect over that link. If you have a cell phone and the proper cable, you can connect to the Internet and retrieve weather over that link. AnywhereLink

Cost:
The XM Weather data is provided by Wx Worx, via XM Satellite Radio. In order to access the data, one must be a subscriber to the monthly XM aviation weather package, and pay a one-time registration fee to XM. These fees are as follows:
Aviator $54.95 per month
(Includes: NEXRAD, Metars, TAFs, Lightning, and Echo Tops)
Aviator Lite $34.95 per month
(Includes: NEXRAD, Metars, and TAFs)
$75.00 One Time Activation Fee
XM WX -Weather service Plans are based on 1-year contracts with a monthly access fee and a one-time Activation Fee of $75.00 is applied to all new accounts.
Note: XM WX weather is a different service from XM radio. This service uses a special data receiver. In order to receive XM Audio services in your aircraft you must have an Audio XM receiver and an XM radio subscription.
Anywhere WX XM is unique among XM based weather systems in the fact that one can also download weather products from Control Vision servers via the internet. This is very convenient when your PDA is away from the XM weather receiver, and provides INSTANT access to weather data in your office, hotel, taxicab/rental car, or in the Airport lobby, anyplace where your PDA has internet access via WiFi or a Cell phone connection.
The cost for this optional service is $80 per year, payable to Control Vision.
