Electronic Approach Plates
Instrument approach procedures are the first thing people think about when contemplating an “EFB” (Electronic Flight Bag) system. These procedures, including the approaches, arrivals, departures, airport diagrams, and minima tables have specific requirements by the FAA for use: In order to do an instrument letdown to an airport you MUST have the procedure as published in Part 97.
Having the complete set of procedures on board in electronic form is more than handy – it’s a safety feature. You can launch knowing you have any possible approach plate you might need, even if your flight isn’t planned to take you out of the state. Alternates, deviations, and other unplanned stops will eventually put you in a position where you need a plate that you don’t have. But with the whole US loaded and hot, you are good to go.

Anywhere Map developed one of the first electronic approach plate software applications called Pocket Plates. We introduced this software back in 2003 and it has been a huge seller, and has also been mimicked by our competition over and over again. For less that the subscription to just one or two books and the shipping to get them, you can have the entire US, all of Part 97 as published.
Pocket Plates gives you the complete set as published by NACO including book minima, legends, and time to climb tables. Pocket Plates also feature:
- Quick access to a procedure via map drill down or airport ID.
- Full plate view and zoomed view, showing 1:1 as you would see on paper.
- Quick-change from approach to airport diagram, STAR, or DP.
- Plate geo-referencing so you can see your GPS position on the plate while you fly it.
- Easy updates, every 28 days, directly across the Internet.
- BOTH XP and PDA versions for one price and one annual subscription

Jeppesen FlightDeck and JeppView
Everyone knows that Jeppesen has offered the only alternative to NACO plates for years. Their approach procedure charting is known to be easy to read and extremely high quality. In addition, many Jeppesen chart subscriptions also provide the low-altitude and high-altitude chart information as part of the approach procedures subscription.
JeppView and Flight Deck
Both of these applications run on Windows tablets and laptop/desktop computers. JeppView is more of a flight planning application and FlightDeck is design for use in the aircraft during flight. When you buy a subscription to Jeppesen, you get both of these applications for your use, either before you depart or enroute.
Anywhere Map is pleased to offer Jeppesen for those customers who choose to continue their use of the Jepp charts, but now in electronic form. We will provide the first year subscription as well as FlightDeck and JeppView with your purchase.

GPS Gate:
We recommend GPS Gate for use when you have Anywhere Map software and FlightDeck. GPS Gate is an inexpensive but powerful software application that allows one GPS to be used across several disparate applications.
Anywhere Map customers know that you can run Anywhere Map and Pocket Plates at the same time and you’ll see your position on both because the two applications are designed to work together. When you use Jepp products concurrently with Anywhere Map, you’ll want to use GPS Gate so they you can see your position on both product sets in a similar fashion.
GPS Gate Standard: $29.95
