Comparison

ATC vs Garmin Aera
See how the ATC compares to the competition.

The Anywhere Travel Companion is a navigational appliance, not a computer. This device offers a new interface sporting large touch screen input buttons which are optimized for in flight use, even in rough air.  A big, bright 4.3" screen, with the sharpest resolution in the industry, plenty of memory, and a fast dual core processor make this the most powerful portable GPS system available.

Everything you need is included, turn it on and it works right out of the box. Built into the ATC are Street Navigation, with talking turn-by-turn guidance for your car, and Anywhere Map for your plane. You can also add Pocket Plates 3.0 for Part 91 legal approaches.

ATC In Flight

This easy-to-use system features an all new touch screen based user interface. Innovative safety features like our patented Cones of Safety®, Emergency Mode, Personal Digital Co-Pilot®, and obstacle and terrain warnings are even easier to use than ever. SUA’s, TFR’s and terminal areas will keep you out of trouble in today’s complex airspace.

ATC on yokeThe Nearest Anything™ function shows you everything from nearby airports to AWOS Frequencies, and even the FBO with the cheapest fuel. The virtual ILS, EFIS Arc, HSI and “flight following” features will help you to be a better pilot.

The 100LL.com airport directory and fuel price guide and our pioneering Taxi Express Airport taxiway diagrams are also included giving you unmatched situational awareness in the air and on the ground.

NEW! MaxNAV Sectional Charts (Optional)
The ATC is the only handheld to offer the rich detail of sectional charts. The seamless nature of MaxNAV completely hides the traditional boundaries of the original Sectional charts, the user never needs to know which map the background comes from. Individual chart tiles are each stamped with an expiration date, and a simple online process automatically keeps the map tiles current and up-to-date.

Add an optional XM WX receiver and the ATC gives you up-to-the-minute XM weather and Airspace warnings on the fly. Data is transmitted to the ATC by Bluetooth and even lets you listen to XM audio channels while you monitor the weather. (subscriptions required). This two piece system is less bulky and has a far better display than comparable portable weather displays.
